It depends exclusively upon tuition, fundraising, and charitable contributions for its revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check, cash, or stock are welcomed monetary gifts. Additionally, gifts may be made to honor a family member, friend or favorite teacher. Many companies will match their employees\u2019 charitable gifts; check with your Human Resources Department to see what the policy is. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Family foundations considering a contribution, or individuals wishing to make a gift of corporate stock, should contact the Family foundations considering a contribution, or individuals wishing to make a gift of corporate stock, should contact the Director for further information. All contributions are tax deductible according to tax law guidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can make a donation online to any of the below funds on our payment page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-horizontal is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-1 wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-fill\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/firstcongonurseryschool.org\/make-a-payment\/\">Donate online here<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Enrichment Fund<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Enrichment Fund buffers our general operating fund and is used for capital improvements and unbudgeted expenditures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sources of money:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>fundraising<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>donations of money or stock<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>interest from accounts and investments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>surplus funds at the end of each fiscal year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Money in this fund is used:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>to purchase unbudgeted teaching materials and equipment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>for upkeep and capital improvements to the rooms and yard<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>for tech expenses (website, computers, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to provide staff support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lee Newman Scholarship Fund<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lee Newman Scholarship Fund was established when our much-loved \u201cTeacher Lee\u201d retired after helping to establish our program in 1963 and continuing to guide the 3\u2019s for over 20 years. Tax-deductible donations received into this fund help make up any deficit that may exist when trying to meet all scholarship requests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mae Kenrick Fund<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2002 a fund was established to honor our beloved \u201cTeacher Mae\u201d Kenrick, who retired after 31 years of teaching at First Congo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This fund was created to be a reserve fund and to provide stability for the nursery school. Tax-deductible contributions to the Mae Kenrick Fund provide a meaningful way for families to support teachers and the overall program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Money from this fund is used for:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>teacher education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>underwriting parent education events<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>helping to provide special resource teachers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gayle Nathe Fund<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"123\" src=\"https:\/\/firstcongonurseryschool.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/tn-1.jpeg\" alt=\"Gale Nathe Fund Logo.\" class=\"wp-image-939\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>The Gayle Nathe Fund was established to honor Gayle and help realize the dreams that Gayle had for our school environment. Over her long and dedicated career at First Congo, Gayle looked for the school to be environmentally responsible while at the same time plant the seed of environmentalism in the children who attend our program.
